NO SCOOPING ! I give the litter robot 5 stars ( the one that works) but the whole experience of getting a replacement gets 2 stars.
It was a constant reminder of how amazing it truly is to have this for my babies.
The 6 days I had to use a conventional litter box was just miserable. I can tell when I received it today that the other one must have been refurbished because it came already not centered and the part to stop the tracking was loose in the box not installed on the actual litter robot like this one. 6 days later (today) I received the replacement and it works perfectly. They had me return it and order a replacement. I received it Friday and had to speak to several representatives to resolve the issue, each one said something different so it was not a great experience. It was continuously going in circles and stopping upside down. I absolutely love the litter robot but wish the first one they sent me worked. A lot of money for something so unreliable.
LITTER ROBOT 4 SOFTWARE
Unless they make serious improvements to the software I will not be buying another one. But thinking of doing this whole song and dance for another 2 and half years is not worth it. I bought a 3 year warranty so at least I can consistently get a replacement when yet another one fails. Customer service has always been great at sending a replacement (I recommend using the chat feature as it can take days for them to respond to email), but it can take a couple of weeks before a new one arrives. This had made it unreliable to leave unattended for fear it will get stuck while I’m gone, rendering it unusable for my cats. Mine have all had an issue of stopping mid cycle. The sensors are incredibly sensitive and can go haywire over the smallest thing. But the other 3 have all had similar problems that make it unusable no matter what I try to do to fix it. One arrived damaged so I can’t say whether it would have had any issues. I’ve had 4 since November and about to get my 4th replacement. When it works it’s great, but then it doesn’t.
